My Tote Gote Model B project is nearly complete. I am hoping someone can help with an image or description of the rear brake linkage (this is the brake that puts a small section of V-belt against the first jackshaft). When I purchased the Gote the rear brake was intact but any cable or linkage was long gone. The front brake just isn't quite enough.Registered. The 5HP B&S engine on my Tote Gote has partially stripped threads in the block where the exhaust pipe should screw in. I very much want to keep all the original parts when I restore it, especially the engine including the block. On a tote gote when you are off the throttle the bike does not free wheel it slows down. The belt sheave looks like it uses a narrower belt than a 7/8" wide tote gote belt. So a Comet 20 clutch may work for you. Large motors aren't necessary because of the low gearing.
