To check the transaxle oil remove the fill plug on the rear end cover with the cart level oil should be right at the hole. You have to remove the the cover if you want to change the oil to drain the oil.Aug 15, 2020. #1. I see a drain plug underneath on my 1990 Yamaha gas golf cart differential, but no place to be able to check if it has enough oil or to even refill if I drain it to change the oil. Have been able to find out it takes .85 qt when replacing, but can someone help me on the where to check or refill, part of this??
