Written by Mike Peluso. . January 29, 2023. . I took the mid week fishing report off this week. Some of the reason is things are just in stall mode in the ice fishing world. The conditions have not gotten better at all. In some cases it’s gotten worse. Again, there are some slush pockets on Devils Lake that will swallow you up.We were deep, greater than 30 feet of water and that is a big change from the shallow Walleyes and Big Perch that we had been chasing. I am assuming that we will be deep now for the duration of the ice season except for those days that we go for Walleyes! Buckshots with minnow heads were the best today while they were biting, the 1/8-ounce variety!
